My teaching responsibilities normally include four courses (12 hours) per semester.  A semester load will routinely include two American history surveys (HIST 1523, American History Since 1876) and two more of the following courses:

For the 1998-1999 academic year I have been granted a one-quarter load reduction to complete my Guggenheim grant and revive the Red River Valley Historical Journal.  On an ad hoc basis, I might also be responsible for supervising HIST 4960 (Directed Reading) and arranged courses.

        We co-taught a History 102 section using techniques developed from my work on the USL 
        Committee for the Development of a Social Studies Education Curriculum, Spring 1992.
