Course requirements and assessment:

Emerging Technologies Report:  This project will give students an opportunity to learn in depth about an emerging technology and present this knowledge to their classmates.  Each student will research their emergent technology and prepare a PowerPoint presentation with narration.  Each report should include enough information to give others in the class a clear understanding of what the technology is all about, but it should not be so technical as to go over the heads of general managers.

Case Paper:  The instructor is looking for insightful analysis and decisive action steps that should be taken by the managers in the case study.  A three to five page written case analysis is due from the student.

Preparation for Class

You need to prepare in advance for all class discussions.  Assignments are due by midnight on the scheduled due date.  For most assignments you are asked to read material from the text or from a supplementary article.  You are expected to be prepared to discuss the material.  Part of the final grade is based on participation; an absence from class lowers the participation grade.
